Delete your account

Deleting removes your card, your connections, your blocks and your sign-ins. It cannot be undone. Download your data first if you want a copy; see Download your data.

Delete#

  1. Open Settings, then Delete my account (also under Privacy and data).
  2. Choose Continue to delete. We email a code to the address on your account.
  3. Enter the code and choose Delete everything. Keep the page open for a moment.

Your card disappears for everyone and your connections vanish on their side. We do not send them a notice. Deletion happens right away and the clean-up is complete within 30 days. It also clears the saved copy of your card on that phone.

If it will not let you#

  • You own an organization with other admins. Hand over ownership or delete the organization first (Go to my organizations), then come back.
  • The code is wrong or expired. Send a new code. After too many wrong tries, request a new one.

Delete a card that is not yours#

If a card describes you and you did not make it, you do not need an account. Open the card page and choose Ask for it to be removed. We confirm with the person described, then remove the card; unclaimed cards are removed within 72 hours.
